Put in some text, get the MD5 hash of that text back. If you don't know what this is, you probably don't need it.

There are better methods available to you for securing data in a database in our modern world, by the way. There are MD5 hashes that I just know by sight, quite frankly. This is still very effective for certain things, but in general, you should probably be looking for actual encryption schemes when building from the ground up. If you're working with something that's already locked into MD5, though, I gotchu.
